Lewis Structure
Polarity
Glucose is a very polar molecule, the charges are different on each side.
Nature of the Bonds
All of the bonds are covalent, but the C-H bonds are very covalent (.45).
VSPER form
Linear Glucose is an AX, linear form.
Hexagonal Glucose is cyclic.
Hexagonal Glucose is cyclic.
Intermolecular Forces
The forces that are acting on glucose and water are dispersion, because dispersion acts on any two molecules, hydrogen bonding, because of the presence of hydrogen in both molecules, and dipole-dipole because both molecules are polar.
